H
Index
What is it?
The index h is proposed by
Jorge Hirsch of the University of California system for measuring quality
professional scientists, based on the set of the most cited of a researcher and
the number of citations of each of these works.
How do I calculate it?
A researcher has an h-index of
X when X of his articles have received at least X citations each.
For example, an index h = 12
means that an author has 12 items that have received at least 12 citations
each.
